The Challenge & Solution In an increasingly digital world, the goal of this project was to write, illustrate, and design an approachable guide for young parents (ages 22–30) on the psychological and physiological benefits of the color green for children. The challenge lay in translating complex concepts of mental and emotional development into a light-hearted, easy-to-digest "digital detox" in print form.
To resonate with a modern, design-conscious demographic, the visual strategy centers on vibrant green accents anchored by expansive white space. This high-contrast layout mirrors the clarity and "breathing room" the color green provides in a child's environment. By pairing a clean sans-serif typeface with minimalist, organic illustrations of plants and children, the book creates a sophisticated yet playful aesthetic. The result is a cohesive editorial piece that emphasizes the vital connection between nature and healthy development through a contemporary lens.
